Meet the owners
The Bohol Hearing Clinic is owned and operated by Hear Me Now Philippines, Inc., a non-stock, non-profit corporation duly registered with the Security and Exchange Commission (SEC). Being on the leading edge of technology and having well-trained staff, it is one of the finest Hearing Clinics in the Philippines.
It works in close partnership with International Deaf Education Association (IDEA) Philippines, Inc., an NGO (non-government organization) that is working to educate the impoverished and neglected deaf children in the Philippines.
Profits from the clinic help support the education of almost 500 deaf children in the islands of Bohol and Leyte as well as provide hearing services and hearing aids to these children when needed. The Clinic also employs one Deaf.

Meet the Workers
Jopeth Laguna graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Holy Name University in 2008 and received her license. She then worked as a volunteer nurse at Tagbilaran Maternity and Children Hospital caring for expectant mothers, newborns and sick children in the pediatric ward. She was hired at IDEA Philippines Oct 2009 as the company nurse. Jopeth has been overseeing the health of the student beneficiaries in IDEA dormitories as well as caring for IDEA’s 250 employees and running the Bohol Hearing Clinic. IDEA sent her to an audiology training course at UST (University Of Santo Tomas) Manila and through visiting Audiologists she learned more about the audiology field and fitting hearing aids.
Marian Racho graduated from Holy Name University with the Bachelor of Science degree in nursing in 2007 and got her license in the same year. She works as a Community Hearing Health Screener/ Audiology Technician. Her work includes performing newborn screening to partner birthing centers and conducting province-wide community and school hearing screening.
Jordenia Faye Bagolor joined Bohol Hearing Clinic as our Calibration Technician. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology – Major in Electricity at Bohol Island State University.
Stephen Boyles attended IDEA’s Special Education Centers for elementary and high school. He graduated from Talibon Central Elementary School in March 2007 and then attended Bohol Deaf Academy until he graduated in March 2011. He then proceeded to college at Cebu Technological University, Cebu and graduated after a 2-year furniture making course in March 2013. He then applied for a job at IDEA and was accepted and started as a trainee making ear molds for hearing aids in July 2013. Stephen continues to work in the Ear Mold Lab and is constantly being challenged to learn new techniques and equipment.
